Stanford (2-1) gets Rutgers Sunday, but first the Scarlet Knights have a date tonight at 8 p.m. with No. 7 Cal. The Scarlet Knights are crossing the continent for a pair of very big tests. Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer said she is not sure her young team, which has five top-rated freshmen, believes her when she tells them what waits for them on the West Coast. “People think I’m making it up, how good these teams are,” Stringer said. “But they will find out.
